MRS. O. C. BEHRENS DIES FRIDAY NIGHT
RITES FOR GREENWOOD RESIDENT WILL BE CONDUCTED WEDNESDAY


Greenwood--Mrs. O. C. Behrens, 74, who had been in poor health the past two years because of a heart ailment, died at 11 o'clock last night, Feb. 12, 1943 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Behrens, Greenwood, Clark County, where she had been staying the past eight months.


Mrs. Behrens, nee Louise Cummings, daughter of the late Charles and Charlotte Cummings, was born in Whitehall, Sept. 2, 1868, and was married to Otto C. Behrens at Loyal April 12, 1891.


After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Behrens came to Greenwood, Mr. Behrens driving the first stagecoach between Greenwood and Withee, and Mrs. Behrens owning and operating the Home Restaurant in Greenwood for a number of years.


A charter member of the Auxiliary to the American Legion and a member of the Roayl Neighbors of America, Mrs. Behrens is survived by three sons, Clyde and Fred Behrens, both of Greenwood, and Carroll Behrens, Glendive, Mont. one sister, Miss Rue Cummings, Greenwood two brothers, Charles Cummings, Tomahawk, and Eugene Cummings, Glendive, Mont. And five grandchildren.


Mr. Behrens died Oct. 4, 1938.


Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the home of her brother-in-law, John Arends, Greenwood and at 2 o'clock at Grace Methodist Church. The Rev. A. J. Abbott will officiate at the rites, and interment will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
